The Role

Harrowden is a long‑established, family‑owned farming business with operations across the UK. We run major farming enterprises in Norfolk and Lancashire, supported by turf distribution depots in Northamptonshire, Runcorn and Edinburgh. As the UK’s largest grower of turf — and a producer of wildflower, sedum and a range of arable crops — we are committed to sustainable farming, high standards and a supportive team culture.

Our 2,700‑acre mixed arable farm in Norfolk grows potatoes, cereals and sugar beet, alongside turf, wildflower and sedum production. We are now looking for an experienced Arable Operator to join our small, skilled and dedicated arable team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seedbed preparation, drilling and cultivation work
  • Operating a range of modern arable machinery
  • Harvesting potatoes, cereals and sugar beet
  • Assisting with turf, wildflower and sedum production
  • Irrigation setup, monitoring and management
  • Routine machinery checks and basic workshop tasks
  • Supporting the wider farm team as needed
Requirements
  • Proven experience in arable operations
  • Strong cultivation and harvesting skills
  • Irrigation experience (preferred)
  • Good workshop and machinery maintenance skills
  • Telehandler licence (advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Turf Harvester Operator / Farm Worker has become available within the largest turf grower in the UK. We are a diverse farming group and specialise in turf, potatoes, wheat and other arable crops.

We are seeking a candidate who will primarily harvest turf but is multi-skilled and able to be involved in all aspects of the farm, including the arable operations as well as turf production and maintenance.

You will be a team player, preferably with prior agricultural experience. Driving license essential. Ability to operate a forklift desirable. You will be expected to work overtime to meet business requirements. You must have your own transport for this position due to lack of public transport near to the farm sites and the requirement to be very flexible with working times and locations.

We are looking for a punctual, reliable and hard-working individual who wishes to pursue a career in the farming and agricultural industry.

The Role

Our work is grounded in natural practices and aligned with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) goals, helping customers create greener, healthier and more resilient outdoor spaces.

We are looking for a part‑time Videographer & Social Media Content Creator to join our team at our Islip Head Office. This role is all about producing engaging, inspiring and educational content that connects with our diverse customer base — from retail gardeners to landscapers, contractors and trade partners.

Your work will showcase the full breadth of what we do: premium turf, wildflower and sedum products, as well as our arable farming operations. You’ll help tell the story of how our natural practices and BNG‑aligned products support healthier landscapes and better outcomes for people and the environment.

You’ll travel to our farms and sites across the UK — so you’ll need your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence — to capture video, photography and aerial drone footage that brings our mission and products to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging video and photo content for social media, website and marketing campaigns
  • Capture footage across our turf, wildflower, sedum and arable operations
  • Fly a drone safely and confidently to capture aerial content
  • Edit footage into polished, brand‑aligned videos and visuals
  • Plan, schedule and post social media content across key platforms
  • Develop content that inspires, educates and drives audience interaction
  • Travel to sites across the UK to gather content as needed
  • Work closely with the in‑house marketing team to support campaigns and product storytelling
Requirements
  • Experience in videography, photography and video editing
  • Drone flying experience (certification or willingness to obtain it is a bonus)
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends
  • Ability to plan, shoot, edit and post content independently
  • A creative eye for storytelling and visual communication
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
  • Willingness to travel across the UK
  • Interest in nature, sustainability, biodiversity or agriculture (a bonus, not essential)
