Sitescapes provide design, landscaping and maintenance services to Staffordshire and Midlands based housebuilders.
Established in 2002, they have worked hard to gain recognition as one of the major landscaping partners for housebuilders.
They now have a team of over 30 employees, providing design, soft landscaping and grounds maintenance services. Clients include prestigious companies and some of the largest housebuilders in Staffordshire and the Midlands.
Housing development can be fast-paced. So Sitescapes have made it their mission to work closely with site managers and other contractors. Thus, enabling better service delivery – on schedule and on budget.
After facing redundancy, Managing Director John Dalton created Sitescapes to provide landscaping services to housebuilders.
From an office and a yard with ten employees in 2005 Sitescapes had grown to a workforce of twenty by 2010. So they moved to bigger premises. By 2024 the business had twelve landscaping teams and six operational support employees.
They encourage the housebuilder to have faith. They make a promise that they will turn up and landscape the plot when required; reducing the need to return and re-landscape or carry out remedial works.
This approach means the complete aesthetics of the site are changed for the better – with plots looking fresh when the customer arrives to move in. As a result, they have noticed a considerable drop in customer care jobs and the need for remedial work once they have completed.
This approach to landscaping at the very end of a plot build has been tried out on a few sites. One site at Stafford has won a national NHBC award and more recently a site in Lichfield achieved a top 5 position.

They also offer a package involving their landscaping architect team. Here they consider the garden theme, the budget, and time-scale. They can then work on the brief to offer a CAD drawing showing all types of hardscaping products, the types they will use along with detailed shrub, perennial, and tree planting.
All of this in-house, reducing lead-times and increasing the likelihood of everyone being happy at the end of the project.
