Initially established in 2002, they have worked hard to gain recognition as one of the major landscaping partners for housebuilders.
Now they have a team of over 30 employees, providing design, soft landscaping and grounds maintenance services to prestigious clients. This includes some of the largest housebuilders in Staffordshire and the Midlands.
From the outset John Dalton has lead Sitescapes and he understands housing development can be fast-paced. So they have made it their mission to work closely with site managers and other contractors. Ultimately, this approach means better delivery of their services – on schedule and on budget.
After facing redundancy, Managing Director John Dalton created Sitescapes to provide landscaping services to housebuilders.
Sitescapes began in 2005 with ten employees, an office and a yard. Then by 2010 continued growth helped support a workforce of more than twenty and a move to larger premises. By 2024 the business had twelve landscaping teams and six operational support employees.
Sitescapes Approach:
Initially, they encourage the housebuilder to have faith. First they make a promise that they will turn up and landscape the plot when required. This then reduces the need to return and re-landscape or carry out remedial works.
In summary the complete aesthetics of the site are changed for the better using this approach. So plots look fresh when the customer arrives to move in. Not only that but remedial work and customer care jobs have dropped considerably.
Moreover, this approach towards landscaping at the very end of a plot build has been tried out on a few sites so far. As a result, one of their sites at Stafford won a national NHBC award and more recently a site in Lichfield achieved a top 5 position.
Show home landscaping:
In addition, Sitescapes also offer a package involving their landscaping architect team. Here they consider the garden theme, the budget, and the time-scale. Then they can work up a brief to offer a CAD drawing showing all types of hardscaping products and the types they will use along with detailed shrub, perennial, and tree planting.
All of this in-house, reducing lead-times and increasing the likelihood of everyone being happy at the end of the project.
