Seeds,Plugs & Plants

Our aim is to bring you a great selection of plants, plug plants and seeds across a range of wildflower species.

Annual wildflowers provide shelter for wildlife and their seeds provide food. Many are self-seeding plants that are close to being self-sufficient, but they still need a helping hand to renew themselves for the following year.

Within our annual and perennial wildflower species you will find some that suit your conditions. Imagine the spectacle you could achieve with some of these species.

Stand out with the striking yet soft pink flowers of Corncockle, astonish with the blue star-like Cornflower or lift your garden with Wild Pansy’s butterfly-like petals of purple, yellow and white.

Dip your toe in the water of the wildflower world by trying a selection of single wildflower plants or plugs. As plugs they can also be laid under our Meadowmat wildflower turf to add a new species to “customise” your garden.

As a national distributor for DLF we can supply their full range of specialist grass seed covering myriad applications – coastal, golf greens and fairways, high wear and salt tolerant applications are just a few.

DLF is a global seed and plant company reknown for research and product development. They undertake one of the world’s largest research and development programmes. Their focus is on fine-leaved, dense varieties with outstanding disease, wear and drought tolerance.

Their Masterline® mixtures are designed to comply with demanding professional usage and their mixtures are used for prestigious projects like football stadiums, golf courses, parks and residential areas.

Harrowden is one of the very few growers who grow and supply sedum plug plants. With their hardy nature, vibrant colours, and low-maintenance requirements, sedum has become a popular choice among landscapers and garden enthusiasts.

Once established, sedum is exceptionally low maintenance and can withstand drought conditions, making it perfect for water-wise landscapes. It thrives in a wide range of soil types and is resistant to pests and diseases, reducing the need for chemical treatments. Sedum requires little to no pruning and can tolerate partial shade, making it adaptable to different garden conditions.

real seed traceability you can trust

Harrowden has been producing Meadowmat wildflower turf since the early 2000s and is now taking complete control of its seed production, drawing on scientific principles to meet the requirements of each species throughout its lifecycle. We are growing our own plants, processing our own seeds and bringing our own seeds to market. Not only will we be using our own seed in our Meadowmat wildflower turf, but we are also making it available to our various markets as fully traceable wildflower seed mixes.
