
Bonsall Field Barn - Mike Baldwin lead a group of horticulture students in creating an amazing show garden for BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Mike is the Horticulture Lecturer at The Derby College Group. The garden has been designed in collaboration with Derby College and Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust. First and foremost it highlights the Bonsall Field Barn Restoration Project.

DG Landscapes has been working in Royal Gardens. It is a collection of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses in the new town of Wixams, just south of Bedford. Wixams is effectively a brand-new town which should have an exciting future. Universal Studios will create major employment opportunities there in the near future. A new high street is coming soon, forming the central hub of Wixams whilst a train station will provide direct services to London in under an hour.

As a partner at Stanwick Lakes we have helped build a second larger roundhouse. This has been designed with a ditch and a bund boundary, hurdle fencing and a small garden. This will showcase crops, herbs and plants from the iron age. The heritage garden will also be developing a “Living History Nursery” growing plants and shrubs from the time.

In Bristol, Little Green Rooms are, by their own admission a young business based around a creative, bright and passionate team. They can manage all aspects of a green roof project. The Radcliffe Camera is an iconic Oxford landmark and a working library. It is part of the central Bodleian Library complex. The Radcliffe Camera is called a “camera” because the word is Latin for “room” or “chamber”. Originally, the building was a reading room for a library. Initially, it was funded by Dr. John Radcliffe. The “camera” was then built between 1737 and 1749 to house his collection of scientific books.

Rochdale is a metropolitan borough council and consists of 5 townships: Heywood, Middleton, Pennines (Firgrove, Littleborough, Milnrow, Newhey, Smallbridge and Wardle), Rochdale North, and Rochdale South. This former engine house of the Industrial Revolution was once one of Britain’s wealthiest towns. It was an important trading post for the country’s wool merchants.

Spark Gardens - The inaugural Manchester RHS Urban Garden Show starred Amanda Grimes from Spark Gardens. Harrowden supported Amanda as part of her “24HR Party Planting” garden. For the RHS Urban Show, Amanda created two beds inspired by pop culture, deeply rooted in Manchester’s music scene. Both installations were about giving new and inexperienced gardeners the confidence and inspiration to give it a go.

UpMo Community Garden – Upward Mobility, or UpMo are a charity that support and provide opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism. For more than 16 years, they have been combining tailored support services with a curriculum of creative workshops, educational activities and vocational programmes.
