The Woodford Garden Village development is an innovative housing project in the heart of Cheshire. Based at the historic former aerodrome at Woodford, the development lies close to Wilmslow, Poynton and Bramhall. It is also within commuting distance of Central Manchester. Spark Gardens - The inaugural Manchester RHS Urban Garden Show starred Amanda Grimes from Spark Gardens. Harrowden supported Amanda as part of her “24HR Party Planting” garden. Both installations were about giving new and inexperienced gardeners the confidence and inspiration to give it a go.
As a partner at Stanwick Lakes we have helped build a second larger roundhouse. This has been designed with a ditch and a bund boundary, hurdle fencing and a small garden. This will showcase crops, herbs and plants from the iron age. The heritage garden will also be developing a “Living History Nursery” growing plants and shrubs from the time.
Bonsall Field Barn - Mike Baldwin lead a group of horticulture students in creating an amazing show garden for BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Mike is the Horticulture Lecturer at The Derby College Group. The garden has been designed in collaboration with Derby College and Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust. First and foremost it highlights the Bonsall Field Barn Restoration Project.
